A substantial detached village home standing in nearly one third of an acre.
Butts Orchard is a detached home in the Arts and Crafts style, believed to date from 1952 and built in brick under a pitched slate roof. The house has some charming features including woodblock flooring to the principal reception rooms and entrance hall, and large working fireplaces in both the sitting room and kitchen. On the ground floor the accommodation is based on an entrance lobby leading into the entrance hall which in turn leads into the kitchen/living space. The sitting room has a large stone fireplace, windows overlooking the garden and leads into the conservatory. The kitchen/dining/living space incorporates a well fitted kitchen area with fitted appliances and Rangemaster cooker, double doors out to the gardens, a dining area with fireplace and fitted gas fire, and a sitting area with a square bay window to the front. Adjoining is a useful utility room. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom. At first floor level are three bedrooms, the principal with dressing area with fitted wardrobes, a window overlooking the rear gardens and a shower room. All three bedrooms at this level have exposed floorboards. With a staircase leading off the first floor landing, the loft area was converted around 10 years ago and now provides a further two rooms, one currently used as an office, and the other currently used as a gym, but the two could provide bedrooms four and five. There are velux roof windows to front and rear in both bedrooms, and there is a further shower room at this level. Outside there is a double garage, with power and light and an electric door. The gardens are large and level, and predominantly face south and west with a large paved terrace area. In total the plot extends to just under one third of an acre.

A 'proper' family home in the older part of the village, and this is a 'proper' village with pub, outstanding Primary School, shop, village hall and lots of activities. My family and I have used lots of them, from cubs and Saturday morning football to the excellent village shop, and of course the pub!
