A striking and beautifully appointed contemporary energy-efficient home in a rural setting.
A triumph of contemporary design, Kingsfield Pond uses natural materials, such as wood columns, engineered elm floors, stone tiles and lots of glass, to create a truly exceptional residence. This modern iteration of a country home was built in 2021 by Jonathan Hendry Architects, as a "Paragraph 55" house which allowed it to be constructed in a rural Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house was conceived to be eco-friendly and has sustainable energy services, with triple glazing and underfloor heating to make it extremely warm and energy efficient in the winter. The interiors are beautifully presented to the highest standards.
Kingsfield Pond is thoughtfully laid out to allow areas for sleeping and bathing, relaxing and eating, and storage, with the accommodation of about 7200 sq ft arranged in a number of "wings" over a single storey. Designed to blend into its surroundings, the house sits unobtrusively within the foliage and almost all of the rooms have direct access to the outside. The house is entered onto a long corridor, with an en suite guest bedroom on one side and a utility room and gym on the other. Within the main part of the house there is an indoor swimming pool, with soaring glass windows providing a captivating view onto the gardens, and the remaining bedrooms: a principal suite with dressing area and en suite bath/shower room, as well as two further double bedrooms, also both en suite with handmade bespoke elm bed frames and fitted wardrobes. In a separate wing there is the fabulous open plan living space. The vast room extends to about 52ft and is zoned with a kitchen, dining area and seating area. Behind the living space there is a games room.
The property has an extremely private and exclusive setting, tucked away in a stand of poplar trees and surrounded by beautiful wildflower gardens that are a riot of colour in the spring and summer months. The gardens are wonderfully peaceful and attract a wide array of wildlife. The house is approached via a sweeping driveway and has a stunning reveal, with a stone driveway to the front with ample parking and a detached garage block with space for four cars. The garden features approximately 300 trees, including willow, silver birch, cherry and acer, with beautiful landscaping throughout.

This has to be the most James Bond house I have been in, meticulous attention to design and build creating a stunning space to live which can all be run by your mobile phone. I just love the floor to ceiling windows which really bring the garden into the house
