Situated at the northern end of the Vale of Clwyd on the boundary of a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are scenic walks along the Clwydian range, golf courses at Holywell, Denbigh and Prestatyn and fishing on several rivers. Rhuallt (1 mile) has a restaurant and there are further amenities available a St. Asaph (5 miles) and Dyserth (2.5 miles). Major supermarkets are also within easy access and there is a broader offering of amenities in neighbouring Prestatyn which is some 5 miles to the north.
