History
The manor of Newton Hall was a small country estate comprising a collection of medieval buildings, situated to the north of the historic market town of Great Dunmow. Today, the majority of the original medieval buildings have long since gone but the legacy of Great Dunmow's medieval heritage remains within the names of farms, roads and areas of Great Dunmow.

The manor house of Newton Hall was rebuilt in the nineteenth century and formed an important part of the estate, which is still one of the region's most significant heritage assets, comprising a wealth of greenspace and impressive buildings and structures.
