Bridge of Allan is one of Stirlingshire's hidden gems. This historic spa town has a thriving centre with a good range of shops, cafés and restaurants. Beaconhurst School, at the far end of Kenilworth Road, is a highly regarded private day school taking boys and girls from the ages of 3 to 18. Khyber House is a unique family home built in a traditional Scottish style. Constructed in 1930 of rendered brick with a slate roof, the property has an unusual façade with striking bow windows and conical roofing above. The current owner purchased the property in 2012, prior to which it was fully refurbished. The owner has since carried out further extensive redecoration, bathroom improvements and laid a tarmac driveway and parking area.
