Area Guide:

Haslemere is close to the border with both Hampshire and West Sussex. The major road between London and Portsmouth, the A3, lies to the west, and a branch of the River Wey to the south. Haslemere is approximately 12 miles south west of Guildford and surrounded by hills, with the Devil's Punchbowl close by. Much of the surrounding heathland and woodland is owned and protected by the National Trust, and has become a popular attraction for walkers.

Taking the A3 south, to the Milford exit and follow signs for the A283, A286 and Haslemere. At the roundabout take the first exit following the A283 and, at the second traffic lights, turn left onto Cherry Tree Road and continue to the roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A286 and continue for 6.6 miles to Haslemere. Proceed through the High Street and, at the end, turn left onto Petworth Road. After 0.3 mile, turn right into Haste Hill and continue for further 0.3 mile to the junction. Go straight across into Tennysons Lane and go ahead for about 180 yards before bearing right into Chase Lane. Follow the lane beyond the houses, you will reach a five bar gate proceed through the gate. The entrance to the property will be on your right. The bottom gate will open away from you automatically as you approach. The second gate, ring buzzer and gate will open.
