Englefield Green, TW20 0YB
An elegant period house in a mature private parkland setting with Private Gate to The Great Park.
Completely private, the house is approached through impressive wrought iron gates over a sweeping gravelled drive, giving views across the wildflower meadow and parkland.
From the turning area in front of the house, stone steps lead to the front door and the grand reception hall, containing an inviting open fireplace with ornate marble detail surround. The hall gives access to the principal reception rooms which occupy the majority of the southern and main elevation of the house. These generously proportioned rooms enjoy a scenic outlook across the mature parkland and gardens with French doors giving access out onto the terrace and gardens beyond.
Upstairs the accommodation is arranged over two floors, including a superb master bedroom suite occupying the entire western wing of the house, with his and hers dressing rooms and 2 en suite bathrooms. Further bedroom accommodation comprises 3 large suites on the first floor and 4 further en suite bedrooms and a children's playroom
on the second floor.
The lower ground floor provides extensive storage facilities including wine cellar, gymnasium and workshops.
Park Place is an exceptional period house with a variety of fine period detailing and features. Over the years it has been the subject of significant updating and renovations, the house now provides elegant extensive accommodation suitable for entertaining on a grand scale or modern family living alike.
Gardens and Grounds
One of the principal features of the property is its private, central position within its 15 acres of mature parkland and landscaped grounds. From the southern elevation of the house, a flag stone terrace leads to the outdoor swimming pool with its pretty pool house and onto the main lawn. Interspersed by fine mature specimen trees
there is a leading vista through ornate wrought iron gates to the lake. Banks of colourful rhododendrons line the periphery of the grounds and border much of the drive. In the north eastern corner of the property is a very productive vegetable and rose garden with a fruit cage and a variety of fruit trees.
On the far eastern side of the property is a pretty
wildflower meadow which would also be suitable for use as a paddock. There is also a private foot gate giving direct access into the Deer Park. There are 2 stables in the coach house.
There is extensive secondary accommodation including a 3 bedroom coach house and cottage near the main house and 3 further useful staff or guest cottages, including a gate lodge.
Park Place adjoins the edge of the 4,800 acre Windsor Great Park on the outskirts of Englefield Green. Windsor and the surrounding area is highly regarded for its Royal connections.
The property benefits from exceptional access to London with the M25 for Heathrow and the M4 direct into the heart of London, both within striking distance. Although the commuter links are superb, the area around the property still maintains a rural feel.
