THE LAND
Adjacent fields comprising productive Grade 3 arable land extending in all to approximately 25.25 acres (10.22 hectares) to the east side of Wheldrake Lane. The roadside field totals 4 acres (1.62 hectares) beyond which lies the larger 21.25 acre field (8.6 hectares). The land benefits from under drainage with lighter free working soils towards the west and slightly heavier soils towards the east. There is an internal drainage board ditch following the southern boundary adjacent to which is a conservation grass strip enhancing the access to the land.
The roadside field grew potatoes last year but the land is scheduled for spring barley for the 2024 cropping year.
