Creinch Island rises steeply from the water to a rounded summit, extends to approximately 14 acres and is completely covered in native tree and plant species such as oak, wych elms, alder, and Scots pine.
In the Spring the island is carpeted with wild garlic, hyacinths and wood anemones, and in summer the undergrowth grows densely.
Creinch Island is located in the Southern area of Loch Lomond with the village of Balmaha to the east, providing the easiest point of access from the mainland to the island.
The island offers the opportunity to acquire a natural oasis in this world famous location.
The Island has no residential dwelling on it and no services and is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).

It's not every day the opportunity to own your own island in Loch Lomond appears and as an enthusiast for the great outdoors I found the island quite enchanting.

Local information
- Lying in Scotland's largest freshwater loch is Creinch Island. Formerly known as "Inchroin", the name is derived from the Gaelic meaning of Tree island. No fairer description exists.
- The island is the third in a chain of four islands, the others being Inchcailloch, Torrinch and Inchmurrin. These are formed by the high points of the submerged ridge marking the line of the geological Highland fault line.
- Loch Lomond Golf Club lies immediately to the Western mainland shoreline (the 5th hole is named after Creinch Island), with Loch Lomond National Nature Reserve to the East.
