  • Little Barugh is a delightful hamlet set amidst unspoilt countryside in the Vale of Pickering. The neighbouring village of Great Barugh is home to several historic buildings including St Nicholas Church. While the nearby market towns of Malton and Pickering provide a wide range of shops and weekly markets. Malton benefits from a railway station with regular services to Scarborough, York, Leeds and beyond. York itself offers excellent shopping and a mainline station, with some services reaching London in under two hours.
  • The village of Kirby Misperton is one and a half miles away and is served by a church, playground and an active village hall which hosts a number of groups and the recently opened Dewars restaurant and bar There is a Post office which is open twice a week and a regular bus service, the Coastliner. There is also Flamingo Land Resort, a theme park attraction with Zoo, public house, convenience store and bakery.
  • Great Habton is three miles distant with a good pub, The Grapes and a cricket club.
