  • Kingsbarns has a distinctive village square, a primary school, church and village hall which is the venue for community events. Kingsbarns Golf Links is rated in the top 50 golf courses in the world and is one of the hosts for the Dunhill Links Championship every autumn. Below the golf course is a beautiful sandy beach with an old harbour.
  • Kingsbarns lies around 6½ miles south of St Andrews, the 'Home of Golf'. There are now seven golf courses under the management of the St Andrews Links Trust, including the world-famous Old Course which played host to the Open Championship in 2022. Other golf courses in the area include Crail, Elie, The Fairmont St Andrews and Dumbarnie.
  • St Andrews is also well known for its university which is one of the oldest in Britain, founded in 1413.
