A charming character home with detached studio located close to station. Offering excellent living space and a good sized south facing garden to the rear.
Orchard Cottage dates back to the late 17th century and is Grade II listed.
Set back from the road with off road parking for several vehicles in front of the workshop, the front garden has a mature topiary box hedge feature with traditional roses inset.
The entrance hallway runs front to back and gives access to the three principal reception rooms - all with much original character including exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace and floorboards.
The kitchen is to the rear of the house with a door leading to the garden and steps into the cellar which provides useful storage. There is a ground floor bathroom.
Upstairs, and accessed via two staircases and arranged over two floors, there are four to five bedrooms - two of which are interconnected, providing an ideal teenager suite.
On the outside, the south facing rear garden is of a good size and has various mature flower and shrub borders as well as a wooded walkway to the rear. To the side and rear of the house is a workshop with WC and the self contained Studio, which has it's own kitchenette and shower room / WC.

I love the style of these homes - they really don't make them like this anymore! The location is brilliant - you can hop on a train in under a 5 minute walk yet feel nicely secluded at home in the heart of town. Well worth a visit!
