  • Drambeel Lodge is situated amid the rolling countryside and fields of Durris. Well connected to a number of local towns, there is primary schooling at Lairhillock Primary, with secondary education catered for at Cults Academy, Mackie Academy (Stonehaven) or Banchory Academy. Given the countryside location, there is a wide variety of outdoor leisure pursuits available locally, including horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, shooting and golf, with skiing at Glenshee and the Lecht during the winter months.
  • Cults, just over 9 miles away, is one of Aberdeen's most exclusive and prestigious suburbs. It is served by a variety of small shops, churches, modest sized hotels and eateries, mostly situated in the village centre.
