There is a 5 acre site let to an established outdoor educational provider under a long lease together with woodland plantations and organic pasture .

South facing Woodland Site with planning consent for Six Eco-Lodges

In 2020 Cornwall Council granted planning permission (application no PA20/00426) within an existing south facing woodland plantation of around 7.71acres overlooking the Truro river for the erection of 6 ecolodges for holiday use.
On 29th June 2023 Cornwall Council granted a Certificate of lawfulness (application no PA23/03736) to confirm that the development granted in relation to decision notice PA20/00426 dated 06/07/2020 had materially commenced and the permission is therefore considered to be extant. Full details of the application and the Certificate of Lawfulness can be found on the Cornwall Council planning register using this link https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/planning-applications/online-planning-register using ref nos PA20/00426 & PA23/03736.

The six lodges will be sited at the top of the hill near the northern boundary and have been orientated to maximise the views downriver and will be accessed by a service road at the rear. Site let for educational use:

Planning consent was granted under planning application no PA12/01440 for a change of use of a field of around 4.65 acres from agricultural use to environmental educational use (sui generis) including the erection of a number of structures and the landscaping of the site and is now let on a long lease to the award winning Camp Kernow, an innovative off-grid environmental adventure centre dedicated to reconnecting and engaging children from across the world with the natural environment and inspiring them to live more sustainably. Full Planning details can be found on the Cornwall Council planning register using this link https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/planning-and-building-control/planning-applications/online-planning-register/ using ref no PA12/01440

Further details of the lease are available from the agents Savills upon signing an NDA.

      Modern Storage Building
A steel portal frame building measuring approximately 310sqm and adjoining hardcore yard area is located just west of the Ecolodge site and currently provides useful general storage for the whole farm.

      Woodland and Organic Pasture
The majority of the land at Park Farm has been planted over the last 20 years to woodland with a harmonious mixed blend of broadleaves which are broken up by statuesque Monterey Pines which were planted as wind breaks by a previous owner. Rides and areas of open ground adorned with a rich tapestry of ferns, mosses, and wildflowers, invite exploration and serve as vital habitats for a variety of wildlife, providing shelter and breeding grounds for numerous species.

The woodland offers potential for ecotourism with endless possibilities including developing guided nature walks, birdwatching excursions, and photography tours that could combine with Eco-friendly accommodations, such as rustic cabins or glamping sites (stp). Interwoven with the woodland the organic pasture fields create a picturesque mosaic of greenery that enhances the natural beauty of the landscape. These fields, managed using sustainable farming practices, provide vital habitat for grazing animals while seamlessly blending into the surrounding woodland environment. The organic pasture fields not only serve as a scenic backdrop but also play a crucial role in promoting biodiversity and ecological balance by supporting a myriad of insect pollinators, birds, and small mammals, contributing to the overall health of the ecosystem. In addition to their ecological significance, the pasture fields offer future opportunities for sustainable agriculture and local food production. The integration of organic pasture fields within the woodland landscape enhances the aesthetic appeal of the surroundings and provides shows how agriculture and conservation can coexist harmoniously.

Truro is the southern-most city in mainland Great Britain and is well known for its Cathedral (completed in 1910), cobbled streets and Georgian Architecture, being granted a bishop in 1876 and city status by Queen Victoria a year later.Today, Truro is the administrative, commercial and retail capital of Cornwall.
