    About this property

    • Holset Court is a pretty enclave of barns nestled in the South Hams countryside dating back to the late 1800's which have been sympathetically converted into wonderful, modern homes whilst preserving the charm and character you would expect from barns of this period and The Malthouse is a particularly fine example of this.

Arranged over three floors, the accommodation is spacious and bright throughout and offers flexible, modern family living making it the perfect permanent home, a great lock up and leave or indeed an investment/income stream.

Stepping through the front door into the spacious and welcoming entrance hall immediately sets the tone for what is to come with high ceilings, an abundance of natural light and lovely wood floors.

The ground floor is dedicated to the living accommodation which flows beautifully. The well equipped kitchen / breakfast room is clearly the heart of the home and is arranged around a central island. Integrated with a range of appliances including a microwave, three ovens, a dishwasher and wine cooler this is a wonderfully sociable space, perfect for entertaining.

The fabulous sitting room really does provide the “wow” factor with its dual aspect, feature wood burning stove, vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. French doors with a Juliet balcony provide a wonderful aspect over the courtyard and to the rolling South Hams' countryside beyond.

The first floor of The Malthouse is dedicated to the principal suite which again is full of character with exposed beams, wooden floors and roof lights, creating a feeling of light and space. This principal suite offers a generous double bedroom, a modern en suite shower room and a study area which could also be used as a dressing room.

The lower ground floor provides a four further double bedrooms, two of which benefit from built-in wardrobes and one of which has an en suite shower room as well as a family bathroom and a utility / laundry room.

      Gardens and Grounds
The lower ground floor provides access via a lovely stable door to the outside courtyard are and a decked terrace which is the perfect spot for al fresco dining.
There is also a generous garage and off road parking.
