Located on the Scottish west coast peninsula that bears its name, Craignish Castle originated as a 16th century tower house and was the family seat of the Campbell family of Craignish and Jura. Following additions and adaptations over the centuries, it is now considered something of a Baronial masterpiece and latterly was divided into three substantial apartments.

South Flat is arranged over two levels and is brimming with exquisite period features including magnificent oak wood panelling and exposed stone walls. The accommodation begins appropriately with the apartment's own portcullis-style front door (known as a 'bottle dungeon gate'). On the ground floor is the characterful dining kitchen with oak cabinets, barrel ceiling, terracotta tiled floor and a glazed door out to a decked terrace. There are two bedrooms on this level: the principal is again lined with wood panelling and is beautifully proportioned. The second bedroom currently has cleverly built in, hand crafted wooden bunk beds which make very good use of the space.

Outside there are lovely views over the Atlantic and to the Paps of Jura. Renowned garden designer Osgood Mackenzie designed part of the garden grounds, which are shared with the other two properties. There is also shared driveway and ample parking area.
