Area Guide

St. John's Wood lies within the City Of Westminster in the North-West of London.

Once part of the Great Middlesex Forest; the area was one
of the first London suburbs to be developed from the early
19th century onwards, mainly with low density “villa” type
housing.

This leafy area is largely residential, free from the general hustle and bustle of a city, making it attractive for families with children. The area is famous for having various different styles of architecture. St. John's Wood is also the home of Lord's Cricket Ground - the home of UK cricket, as well as the famous Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded the Abbey Road album.

To the east of Hamilton Terrace lies Primrose Hill, a beautiful parkland area boasting fantastic views over London. To The South East, you will find Regent's Park and London Zoo, with c.486 acres of stunning parkland and walkways with superb sports facilities.

St. John's Wood enjoys a secluded and tranquil atmosphere
yet offers great transport links to central London and the M4, A40, M1 and A406, making it a very desirable residential district.
