About this property

  • Constructed in 2003, Trevone Bay Lodge makes the most of its position with a large living room and balcony on the first floor, overlooking the bay. Entering the ground floor into the hall, the kitchen is immediately on the right. This is fully fitted with a good amount of storage and integrated appliances, including a gas range. A breakfast bar and breakfast table provide plenty of seating and the view is over the garden and entrance. Off the kitchen is a large utility room which leads through an interconnecting door into the garage.

The first of the three double bedrooms on this floor has an en suite shower room and the family bathroom adjoining. Next is another en suite bedroom and then the dining room which is split level with steps down to a sitting room. This double aspect room is bright with natural light as patio doors open onto the decked terrace and the front garden, with a view of the sea and clifftop. Off this room is another spacious double bedroom, also with the front facing view.

Stairs turn to the upper floor where the landing has a Velux roof light and spacious storage under the eaves. The principal bedroom suite is generous proportioned, yet cosy, with a pitched ceiling in the loft style first floor. It includes a walk-in wardrobe/dressing room and a nicely appointed en suite bathroom with a corner bath and wide shower.

The rest of this floor is taken up with a very pleasant sitting room which opens onto a balcony across the front of this elevation, giving a sweeping view from Trevose Head and Mother Ivey's Bay to the famous Round Hole cliff, with a lovely expanse of beach in between and Gulland Rock as a backdrop.

A spacious single garage has a door into the utility room. Landscaped for ease of maintenance, the garden is mainly paved for parking three or four vehicles, with in and out gates to make for easy entry and exit. There is a wooden summerhouse and the garden is securely fenced to be a safe place for children and pets to play and for privacy. The decked terrace is open to the west and is an ideal spot to enjoy the sun most of the day and in the evening.

Local information

  • Trevone Bay beach is a gently shelving, sandy beach surrounded by high cliffs, popular with surfers and families. The South West Coast Path passes through and walkers can enjoy spectacular coastal scenery which includes the fascinating blow-hole known as ‘Round Hole', that was formed by a collapsed sea cave, and is just one of the reasons the area is of great geological significance having been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). There's also the Trevone tidal pool, one of the largest on the Cornish coast. Known locally as ‘Tinker Bunny's Bathing Pool.'
  • There is a beach shop and small seasonal café, a village hall and a general store halfway between the top of the hill and the beach. The Well Parc is a hotel and pub, just a short walk from Trevone Bay Lodge. A couple of miles away is Padstow, well known as a historic fishing port and home to top class restaurants. Everyday amenities can also be found there, such as a supermarket and plenty of water sports and leisure activities including cycle hire for the Camel Trail.
