    About this property

    • Green Hall is a classic Grade II listed village house believed to date from 1830 with later extensions and refurbishments to create a comfortable family home. An impressive entrance hall opens either side to a reception room both with fireplaces and good proportions. The kitchen/ breakfast room with an Aga is the heart of the home with a breakfast area with curved windows and fitted curved wooden shutters to match. There are a number of very useful utility rooms such as the flower room, boiler, laundry, gym and cellar, together with a study and beautiful orangery looking out over the gardens. On the first floor is an attractive and light landing, and whilst the present owners have taken almost half of the floor over with a generous principal bedroom suite comprising a bedroom looking out over the village green, a large bathroom and 2 dressing rooms, these could be utilised as further bedrooms if required. There are 3 further double bedrooms (1 en suite) and a family bathroom.

      The Barn

There is a magnificent and substantial barn which is currently used for entertaining. It is L shaped with a fireplace at each end as well as a kitchen and cloakroom. On the first floor is a bedroom and shower room and there is planning permission for a further bedroom.

      The Outbuilding

There is a substantial outbuilding comprising car ports, garaging, stores, workshops, cloakroom and machinery store on the ground floor and on the first floor a large room currently used for storage. To one end and accessed by a wooden external staircase is a studio. Gardens Green Hall is approached from the road via electric gates to a gravelled drive and parking to the rear of the house, a spur of which leads to the outbuildings and garaging. The gardens form a large value to the house and are laid mainly to lawn with some fine and ornamental trees and shrubs, and well established mixed borders. They are laid out in attractive compartments and include a formal lawn flanked by herbaceous borders, an area of woodland, a kitchen garden, and a charming garden featuring a pond and breeze hut.
