About this property

  • The property occupies a stunning location with fabulous views across the Hampshire Countryside. Finished to an excellent standard throughout the property offers superb accommodation, ideal for family living. The reception hall leads to the principal reception rooms, including the family room with a large central Jetmaster fireplace, an attractive room for entertaining. The hallway also leads to a further two reception rooms which offer flexible accommodation as either further reception room and dining room or family snug and play room. The kitchen has been beautifully and sympathetically updated with integrated appliances and a Butler skink, the large window above the sink beautifully frames the surrounding views. There is a separate utility room with ample storage. The ground floor also benefits from a newly fitted shower room and the study which is to the front of the house and can therefore be used as an additional bedroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there are five generous bedrooms with striking views from every window and a further two bathrooms. Outside there is a good size garden which is mostly lanwed, the property benefits from a double garage and a gravel courtyard with parking for several cars.

This is a fantastic family home with one of the best views in Hampshire.

Local information

  • The village of Kilmeston lies approximately 4½ miles to the south of the Georgian market town of Alresford in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, being a part of the South Downs National Park. The village of Kilmeston itself boasts a small but thriving community with an active village hall and the delightful Grade II Listed St Andrew's Church. The larger village of Cheriton can be found to the north and more extensive facilities can be found in Alresford, the cathedral city of Winchester and Petersfield. Schooling in the area is excellent, with nearby Twyford Preparatory School, St Swithun's School for Girls, a number of private and state schools in Winchester and Perins in Alresford. The area is renowned for its country sports and rural activities with some excellent riding and walking in the locality, and fishing on the nearby River Itchen.
