Local information

  • Balbriggan is known as the town of the small hills and is a vibrant seaside town located in the North-Eastern corner of County Dublin approximately 35km north of Dublin City.
  • Balbriggan is well serviced in terms of good restaurants, hotel, pubs and excellent shopping centres. The immediate area provides for all of the amenities that the modern family requires. Drogheda and Swords are two large neighbouring towns and they also provide further shopping and entertainment facilities.
  • The Bower is regarded locally as the finest residential area in Balbriggan. The area dates back to 1844 when the first four houses were build in The Bower by the Balbriggan Building Company. This company was a subsidery of the Dublin and Drogheda Railway Company which opened the train line between Dublin and Drogheda the same year. The house itself was built in 1998 to the period Victorian style that the road is accustomed to. Set on the coast, The Bower enjoys magnificent panoramic views across the Irish Sea to the Cooley Mountains and Greenore to the North and Skerries to the south. It is a truly magnificent situation. The property is approached off an idyllic cul-de-sac via a block-paved private driveway with ample parking to the front of the house.
