The cottage is C Listed, built of stone and has a pantile roof with accommodation inside arranged over two levels. The front door to October Cottage sits centrally on the building and opens into a very welcoming entrance hallway where there is a coat cupboard and doors into the kitchen and sitting room as well as the bathroom. The kitchen is fitted with a fireplace and a range of traditionally styled units with an integrated sink, oven with grill and electric hob with extractor above. There is plenty of space for a breakfast table and there is a door from here out to the garden.

The sitting room is a wonderful space and is double aspect. There is an open fireplace with tiled surround and timber mantelpiece with circular hearth. There is a door out to the east facing garden which has a patio and is enclosed by a low stone wall. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom and utility room which is fitted with a range of units and a sink. A staircase from the utility room rises up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms which all look south over the surrounding countryside. Two of the bedrooms are double aspect and get lots of natural light throughout the day. In addition, there is also a separate room with a WC and wash hand basin lit by a Velux window.

The back garden is partly walled and has two distinct sections. The first area is situated up a small flight of steps and there is a raised patio where outdoor dining can be enjoyed throughout the summer. There is a lawn which is flanked by well stocked flower beds which are colourful throughout the year. Opposite the patio is the former stable / potting shed which provides useful workshop and storage space. Through a wooden gate is a secondary garden area which is mainly laid to lawn and enclosed by a variety of colourful trees providing a home to a variety of wildlife. The east side of the house has a patio accessed from the sitting room and is a wonderful spot for breakfast.
