A fine example of one of these substantial detached Edwardian houses in this highly sought-after location on the south side of town.
54 Madeira Park is one of the earlier, more substantial, detached houses in this very popular road. Having benefitted from up-dating over time in a sympathetic style, the property now provides excellent family accommodation, including two fine traditional reception rooms and a well-appointed study, all featuring period fireplaces, high ceilings, and decorative mouldings. In addition, there is the all-important, spacious, modern open-plan kitchen/breakfast/family room, with timber flooring and a wood burning stove, incorporating a large orangery extension, which adds extra light and opens out to the garden. This is well planned, with paved terracing, a lawned area and rose borders with tall laurel hedging along the boundaries. The kitchen is modern and minimalist in style with Corian worktops, AEG ovens, an integrated Bosch dishwasher and a Smeg five burner gas hob.
Upstairs there are six bedrooms arranged over two floors, together with three modern bath/shower rooms, with one being en suite to one of the first floor bedrooms.

I lived opposite this house for about two years when I first got married and I have nothing but fond memories of spending time here. It's a really great location, surely one of the best. The houses all speak for themselves and this one is no exception.
