The village has a medieval 15th century church, a village green with play area, public house (currently closed for refurbishment) tearoom, a nature reserve and a farm shop at Home Farm, Colton about two and a half miles away. The post office at The Old School House is open on a weekly basis and there is a local cricket club within the village.
