Severn Moorhens is a unique and private property which is predominantly defined by its wonderful natural, blue clay lined pool. The property is accessed through double gates which as soon as you enter, you feel as if you have stepped into another world. You are immediately met with greenery and nature which comes from the wonderful trees which have been planted.

There are a plethora of wildlife which can be seen at Severn Moorhens, including Moorhens, ducks, goldfinches, curlews, kingfisher, chiff chaffs, white throat and reed bunting. The pool is stocked with fish including grass carp which live amongst the wonderful natural islands
which are a home to nesting birds.

A long gravelled driveway meanders through the side of the property and continues along the edge of the pool to a larger parking area. The pool is flanked with trees and shrubs and a natural habitat to encourage all forms of wildlife. You can walk around most of the pool with two decked jetties providing a seating or fishing area. A power point, which is currently disconnected, is located next to the lake for a Shepherds hut or caravan.

The lodge is situated on the right of the entrance to Severn Moorhens and is a fabulous one bedroom home which has been beautifully decorated with additional insulation. A decked area provides a seating area and access through double doors into the open plan living dining area with wooden flooring. The kitchen has underfloor heating, an integrated dishwasher, a fridge and an electric oven. The double bedroom has French doors leading outside and an en suite bathroom with a shower and plumbing for a washing machine.

Outside

A wonderful productive orchard is on the left of the driveway which has a selection of apple trees, plum trees and pear trees. To the side of the lodge is a beautiful border planted with roses, lavender and other colourful plants and shrubs. There is an extremely useful workshop with a service pit, which is currently filled in. A separate entrance provides access directly next to the lodge where there is a two bay open garage and wiring in place for a hot tub.

The whole area extends to approximately 2 acres with the gardens extending in front of the lodge. The boundaries have been planted with evergreen hedge to provide privacy and shelter and to encourage wildlife.
