  • Whitebeam is situated in the pretty village of Slapton, a short way inland from the 3 mile long beach at Slapton Sands. It has a bustling community and has the benefit of a village shop, two public houses and a church. The National Nature Reserve at Slapton Ley, a Site of Special Scientific Interest is located on the edge of the village and is the largest freshwater lake in the south west of England. The SW coast path is easily accessible and takes in some of the most spectacular scenery the region has to offer. The nearby town of Kingsbridge is a busy and popular market town, which offers a diverse range of amenities and is home to Kingsbridge Community College (KCC), an ‘outstanding' secondary school.
