    About this property

    • Deep Blue Yonder is a spacious, bright and well presented detached house sitting in an elevated position overlooking the sea and the beach at South Sands. The ground floor accommodation comprises a large welcoming entrance hall, with kitchen and separate breakfast room, sitting room and delightful conservatory, with the dining room currently being used as a ground floor double bedroom. The first floor offers a master suite of bedroom, dressing room and en suite shower room, with a further three bedrooms, one of which is designed as a lovely first floor living room.

The gardens are surprisingly large, have a south westerly aspect and beautifully kept, being largely laid to lawn and offering a colourful and well established array of flower beds and shrubs. Being largely south facing, the gardens enjoy sunshine all day until the sun sets. The gardens are very private and offer a high level of seclusion and a gate, at the bottom of the garden which gives pedestrian access directly onto Sandhills Road, making the walk to the beach very convenient. Double gates open off Sandhills Road onto the drive, which is paved and leads down to the 2 garages with a separate turning and parking area.

This is such a private and secluded spot, you have no idea what to expect. As I went through the gates the view took my breath away.

    Local information

    • Deep Blue Yonder is situated towards the top of Sandhills Road, which leads directly down to North Sands, one of Salcombe's prettiest beaches. The house sits in an elevated position at the top of its garden with glorious coastal, ancient woodland and valley views. Salcombe is a beautiful estuary town on Devon's south coast, in the favoured South Hams. Salcombe has its own micro-climate which makes it an ideal place for year round living, particularly for gardeners. The estuary is very peaceful with wonderful sandy beaches on either side, providing safe swimming and sailing. The centre of Salcombe is about ½ mile away and has numerous specialist shops, restaurants, popular pubs, slipways and a yacht club. Salcombe is probably the most sought after address on Devon's south coast. Communications are good with access to the M5 at Exeter, via the A38 Expressway. The mainline train link to London is from Totnes.
