Bramshott Place is located only half a mile from the thriving village of Liphook on the Hampshire/west Sussex border. Liphook originally started life as a staging post on the London to Portsmouth road and the Royal Anchor pub, which remains in the village, has played host to generations of travellers heading for Portsmouth's royal docks.
Today, Liphook offers a diverse range of shops, including a Sainsbury's supermarket that provides online delivery as well as click and collect services, a post office, hair and beauty salons, wine merchant, dry cleaners, dental surgery, opticians and Lloyds bank.
Walking enthusiasts will appreciate the direct pathways from Bramshott Place that lead through the Wey Valley conservation area, as well as the 1,600 acres of the National Trust land to explore at Hindhead, a few miles away.
The area is also a golfers paradise, with several courses almost on Bramshott's doorstep. Established in 1904 by a group of golfing enthusiasts including first club president Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Hindhead's first nine holes wind through the valley emerging on to a hillside plateau that makes for a challenging round. Liphook, on a rolling heathland, is rated in the top 100 UK courses by Golf Monthly, whilst the magnificent Old Thorns Manor Hotel Golf and Country Estate with its mature trees, natural springs, lakes and testing bunkers provides some fantastic views.
Although Bramshott Place offers its own health and fitness suite, those looking for a bit more pampering will enjoy the nearby Champneys Forest Mere Spa and Grayshott Health Spa.
