This Grade I listed, semi-fortified brick manor house, known formerly as Chenies Palace was owned by the Cheyne family who were granted manorial rights in 1180.   • Directions: From the M25, leave at J18 and head in the direction of Amersham for approximately 1.5 miles. 400 yards after passing St Clement Danes School turn right into Chenies village. Pass through the village, following the road down a hill and look to turn right at the bottom 300yds after a sharp left bend. Cross over the bridge following the road around a right-hand bend then a left-hand bend, follow the road straight ahead up Chenies Hill and signs for Fogmore (the property will then be on the left).
