    About this property

    • Originally dating from the late 1970's, Halifax Lodge is in the finished stages of a complete transformation to provide spacious, contemporary living with a largely open plan ground floor and impressive principal bedroom suite. A purchaser has the opportunity to be involved in specification choices in relation to the kitchen and bathrooms.

Set on the edge of the sought-after village of Everdon and benefitting from views over gently rolling countryside, the property is a rare find.

The entrance hall with light oak staircase leads into a wonderfully light, open plan living space with views over rolling countryside. The kitchen has fitted base and wall units with a central island unit and opens on to the spacious, open plan dining room and sitting room with bi-fold doors to the terrace. The style and specification of the kitchen can be discussed with a purchaser. The sun room provides additional, flexible accommodation and takes full advantage of the views over the surrounding countryside. Accessed from the kitchen is a utility room with access into the garden and to the wet room. There is also a separate study accessed from the hallway, providing useful additional space.

The first floor provides flexible accommodation, including a large landing providing space for a seating area and includes built in storage. The spacious principal bedroom suite includes an en suite bathroom and walk in wardrobe, as well as benefiting from a balcony and wonderful views. The three further double bedrooms also take in views of the surrounding countryside and there is a family bathroom.

Access is via a private paved parking area in front of the house. There is also an integral double garage with electric doors. To the rear and side of the house is an enclosed, landscaped garden, laid to a terrace and lawn. This adjoins and benefits from views over rolling countryside and provides a wonderful spot to unwind or entertain.

I am amazed by the transformation taking place at Halifax Lodge. I love the light, modern interiors combined with the enviable setting and views.
