The house is a grand Grade II Listed building, built in 1722 for John Wilmot, 2nd Earl of Rochester. First built in the Baroque style, the house was altered and enlarged in the Georgian era, retaining features of both classic architectural styles. It has recently been renovated, with great attention to restore and retain the original features. This included the fitting of a state of the art kitchen with Sub Zero, Wolf and Gaggenau appliances and the addition of underfloor heating in each bedroom suite. The ground floor of the house can easily be separated into two distinct areas, making it ideal for entertainment and family living.

The wood panelled reception hall makes for an impressive entrance, providing access to the east and west wings. Formal rooms in the West wing, including the dining room, and ball room with adjoining bar, provide opportunity for entertaining on a grand scale. The park and gardens of Adderbury House were originally designed by Lancelot Brown in 1768.
