- Wendens Ambo is a picturesque village situated in north west Essex just two miles from the delightful market town of Saffron Walden and just 1 mile from Audley End railway station. The village is in an ideal location for the commuter with trains from Audley End to London Liverpool Street taking just over an hour or to nearby Cambridge in approximately 20 minutes. Wendens Ambo is surrounded by some of the prettiest countryside in the area with many walks and popular cycling routes. There is a fine parish church, a charming 200 year old public house, cricket ground and a village hall with a range of activities.
- Shopping, dining and recreational facilities plus a diverse range of food and craft markets can be found in Saffron Walden throughout the year or in the historic and architecturally stunning city of Cambridge, approximately 17 miles distant.

- Directions: By car from Cambridge: Take the A1307 towards Haverhill, at the Fourwentways roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A11 towards London (M11/Stansted Airport/Royston/A505), merge onto the A11. Keep on this road then take the exit for A1301/B184 towards Cambridge/Saffron Walden/Newport/B1383. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto B184. At the next roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Newmarket Road/B1383. Continue on B1383 for approximately 5 miles then turn right onto Station Road/B1039. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the B1039. Go over the railway bridge and The Pines is on your left hand side.
