About this property

  • Crew House is a much improved family home with a contemporary styled interior. Tucked away in the heart of the village and approached via a private drive with automated gates, the house is also set in a wonderful garden with the whole property extending to about one acre.

Internally the house is entered through a good sized porch which doubles as a boot room. A great first impression is given by the spacious reception hall which includes fitted bookshelves, traditional panelled walls and travertine floor tiles. To the side is a very comfortable drawing room with an open fireplace, windows to three sides and underfloor heating, as there is in the reception hall.

The kitchen/dining/sitting room is an exceptional family room providing plenty of space for all day living. Fully glazed on two sides and opening into the garden, the room includes a limed oak floor and a two way wood burning stove which is shared with the reception hall. The kitchen area is particularly well-fitted and includes a central island. Also on the ground floor is a snug room with glazed doors to the garden, utility room and a cloakroom.

The first floor is divided between five charming bedrooms, complemented by three luxury bathrooms. Forming part of the main suite is a dressing room and off the family bathroom is a linen room.

The whole house is beautifully presented having been decorated with great flair and imagination. Appointments are of a high standard and there is a high degree of natural lighting throughout. The accommodation is well arranged, although plans have been drawn up to extend the house to the side and rear, should further space be required.

Externally there is ample parking space to the front of the house. Adjacent is a detached outbuilding which is arranged to provide two offices and a gym. Alongside the kitchen is a wide south-west facing terrace which is perfect for outside entertaining. Beyond is a wide expanse of private lawn interspersed with flower and shrub borders, ornamental pond, box hedging, vegetable beds and maturing trees. The garden also extends round to the rear of the house.
