The building is designed to be formed using cross-laminated timber construction with the use of recycled newspaper or sheep's wool for its insulation and to have excellent airtightness. Constructed mainly of wood for the roof, walls and cladding, it is intended to avoid as many factory products as possible to ensure that natural breathable materials are used wherever possible.       The grass roof and the garden spaces are planned to encourage high levels of biodiversity. The natural swimming pond is an enjoyable and key feature that aligns well with the ethos of this exciting project.
