    About this property

    • The property, which would have been cutting edge design for its time, offers some interesting and thought-provoking accommodation. At ground floor level, there is an entrance hall off which is one of the bedrooms which is serviced by a family bathroom. A coat and utility room lead off the hall which in turn leads to a garden store (also accessible from the large car-port), an outside shower room (also accessible from the garden) and from there access to the garages and workshop areas. Also from the hall a staircase leads to the superb sitting/dining room. This is a great room for formal entertaining and relaxing, making the most of a sensational deep bay offering far reaching views out over The Solent to the Isle of Wight. This is a real impact room and makes for an exceptional living space.

The kitchen comes with a range of appliances and is fitted with a colourful range of floor and wall mounted units including cupboard and drawer sections with work surfaces over. A large serving hatch opens onto the dining area. There is a further bedroom and separate family bathroom on this floor.

Out of the reception room a staircase rises up to the second floor to a particularly useful living space, which could be a third bedroom or alternatively a further reception room/office/living space. There are doors onto a large roof terrace which enjoys a south and west aspect. There is also a bathroom on the top floor as well as a large storage area in the roof space.

Outside the property is approached by a tarmac drive which leads up to the parking/turning area immediately in front of the garage. The triple garage is of impressive dimensions with a mechanics pit and workshop fitted with two large workbenches, and with double doors on both front and rear, a practical arrangement for those with boats/dinghies enabling ample storage for associated equipment.

The gardens to the front of the property are mainly laid to lawn and mature hedgerow boundaries provide a good degree of privacy. There is a further covered parking area immediately in front of the main entrance. The main areas of garden lie to the rear of the property and have been mainly laid to lawn with some attractive borders, All the boundaries are well established with some attractive hedgerows and there is a large area of hardstanding on the opposite side of the garage for any outdoor storage requirements.

    Local information

    • Keyhaven is said to derive from "Cyhaefen" the Saxon term for a point of disembarkation to and from the Isle of Wight for animals bound for market. It is believed to have been a port from as early as 1206. Keyhaven is a distinctive hamlet with a tidal harbour beloved by yachtsmen, anglers, birdwatchers and artists drawn by the play of light and colour on the marshes and gleaming channels. The property located along Saltgrass Lane is in a prime location. With uninterrupted views of Keyhaven Lake, The Solent, and the Isle of Wight, it is the lifestyle that Tomorrow offers which also makes the property so special. The two sailing clubs are a short distance away as is The Gunn Inn.
    • Keyhaven is about three miles from Lymington which offers a good selection of local shops and restaurants. Southampton and Bournemouth airports offer both national and international flights. Lymington also has a railway station with branch line to Brockenhurst where you can catch a train to London Waterloo (approx. 90 minutes).
