About this property

  • Craigmore is a most attractive single storey country property which was constructed for the sellers in 1990, by Stewart Milne, who are well known and award winning house builders. It was built on the site of an old farm cottage. In the mid 1990s the house was extended with the addition of the sun room. Within the last ten years the house has benefitted from further improvements which have included refurbishing both the kitchen and the en suite, adding the porch and the patio doors which link to the garden, re-carpeting throughout and renewing the window blinds. As such it is a very well presented house which is fully double glazed and has a harled and Fyfestone finish and a tiled roof, although the roof over the sun room is slate. The sitting room, sun room and dining room are all interlinked, with the latter two also having direct access to the kitchen. The sitting room and sun room both have direct access into the well tended and enclosed garden. As such the house is ideally laid out for both modern family living and for entertaining. On the other side of the hallway are the four bedrooms, one of which is en suite, together with the family bathroom, and also off the hallway is the utility room, which also links to the well tended and enclosed garden.

A tarred drive leads up to a block paved parking and turning area adjacent to the house and garage. Steps lead up to a glazed front door which opens to the porch with an inner door with glazed side lights to the hallway. This has two built in cupboards, one shelved and the other has a hatch to the roof space (which is partially floored and is fitted out with a store which has been used as an office). The spacious and well proportioned sitting room has a cornice, picture light, fireplace with marbled mantel and an electric fire together with sliding doors to the garden. An arch opens through to the dining room, again with a cornice, and there is a handy door to the kitchen and French doors to the sun room which has lovely views and patio doors to the garden where there is a sheltered paved seating area. The impressive and well equipped kitchen has quartz worktops, tiled splashbacks, soft closing drawers and incorporates a range of Hotpoint appliances including a fridge / freezer, dishwasher, induction hob with extractor, fan oven and oven / grill / microwave. In addition it has Karndean flooring and a wall mounted Panasonic TV. Also off the hallway is a utility room with fitted units including a sink, plumbing for a washing machine and dryer and a door to the garden.

Off the bedroom corridor is a tiled family bathroom with bath, shower, pedestal washbasin and WC. There are four bedrooms, two of which have built in wardrobes and wall mounted Sanyo TVs while the principal bedroom also a built wardrobe and a Sanyo TV together with an en suite shower room with shower cubicle, washbasin with vanity unit and WC.

Outside is a block built garage with power and light and which houses a Boulter Classic boiler. To the side is a lean to greenhouse. The sheltered garden surrounds the house and is enclosed by hedging and is mainly down to lawn with flower borders, together with the block paved sheltered seating area which links to both the sun room and the sitting room.
