Idyllic small farm of about 46 acres offering the perfect lifestyle-change.
Cwmberach Uchaf Farm has been in the vendors family for many years and the current owners took it over in 2014 to continue farming and build up the tourist diversification and outdoor activities business that exists today. The farm has not been worked for about 20 years when they took it over and one advantage of the pause in farming was that the land had become something of a nature reserve with badgers, foxes, owls, red kites and other endangered bird species thriving. Cuckoos, now the 5th most endangered bird in the UK, visit and breed here every year as they always have. The landscape has prompted visitors to comment on the genuine away from-it-all' feeling of remoteness, quiet and wildness.
The current owners have converted a barn into a cosy holiday cottage and set up an exciting holiday safari glamping site in partnership with Feather Down that now works with over 75 farms across Europe to help rural diversification and promote close-to-nature holiday experiences. Feather Down own the four safari tents while the owners run the site for the holiday guests.
Main House Accommodation Ground Floor
The traditional farmhouse offers generous accommodation for a family. A sunroom entrance porch leads into the reception hall with doors leading off to the principal reception rooms. On the right is the dining room (currently used a children's playroom) with wood floor and a wood burning stove. On the left is the living room with an open fire set in a brick fireplace providing a warm focal point, flanked by an attractive built in store cupboard. A door at the end of the hall leads to the large kitchen breakfast room with fitted units, space for appliances and a breakfast bar. A door leads off to a utility room and outside.
First Floor
Stairs rise up from the reception hall to the first floor accommodation that includes a principal bedroom and three further good size bedrooms. The floor is completed by a family bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Sgubor - Barn Conversion Accommodation Ground Floor
Across the courtyard from the house is a cosy holiday cottage called Sgubor (barn in Welsh) that has been converted by the owners from a traditional stone barn. This impressive conversion has a front entrance that leads into a hallway and onto the large living room and dining room with a French door that opens out onto a private and sheltered garden area. Off the living area is a smart fitted kitchen with separate door to outside. The floor is completed by a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
First Floor
The first floor accommodation is accessed by a traditional external stone staircase that rises up the side of the cottage. On the first floor are a large bedroom and a smaller bedroom providing cosy sleeping accommodation. These have the use of a WC.

Externally
The property is accessed by a private track that leads up to the courtyard and a circular drive in front of the main house with the cottage to the right. There is a large parking area to the side of the cottage. The main house and cottage both enjoy their own private garden areas.
The Outbuildings
The farm has a number of outbuildings including an old stone barn attached to the main house that offers potential to convert and either extend the living accommodation of the house or have a separate annexe (stp subject to planning).
There are two further useful general purposes open-span outbuildings. One is currently used for storage and has a dedicated workshop/office area. The other barn near the camp site has an excellent shower, WCs, washrooms and honesty shop area for the campsite guests to use. This barn has further space for guests to use as a covered shelter/play area.

I love the mix of land that this farm offers and the idyllic location.
