The Hayloft forms the upper floor of the former stables building to St Leonards House, which was the manse for the church opposite, built in the early 1900s. The building was converted into two flats, with the ground floor flat being known as The Stables and the first floor The Hayloft. The Stables is in the same ownership and may be available for sale in the future.

The Hayloft is accessed by a door from Hepburn Gardens which leads through its own private yard to external steps up to a front door at first floor level.
