Luxury holiday lodges with views of the Jurassic coastline

    About this property

    • Coast View is a development of luxury holiday lodges located above Shaldon in Devon. Each of the lodges have uninterrupted sea views of the Jurassic coast, with their own individual decking. As a lodge owner at Coast View you benefit from the use of the central leisure facilities which include a heated indoor swimming pool, new gym and beauty and wellness suite along with Noah Bar, Cafe & Restaurant, unique to Coast View. Other facilities available to lodge owners are an exclusive concierge service and complimentary golf at Teignmouth Golf Club. The lodges are permitted to be occupied for holiday purposes only throughout twelve months of the year, making them a perfect second home destination.

There are a range of individual lodges to choose from, ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms in size. Each lodge is a detached unit with its own dedicated parking space, balcony and decking. Whilst the specification of each unit varies, all have a spacious and bright open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a family bathroom and separate en-suite for the principal bedroom (in two and three bedroom units). A dedicated team are based at Coast View to discuss the current choice of lodges available.

    Local information

    • Shaldon is a small village situated alongside the Teign Estuary on the south Devon coast. The village itself has a number of restaurants, cafes, pubs and boutique shops along with a range of local facilities. Shaldon hosts a number of events throughout the year including an annual Regatta that takes place over 9 days in August.
    • A number of beaches are within walking distance of the village, as is the South West Coast Path which has recently been voted the best National Trail in Britain.

    Additional information

    • Lodge ownership is an alternative form of second home ownership, and different from purchasing a traditional house or property. Lodges are detached, self-contained units of accommodation. When purchasing a lodge on a holiday development, you are purchasing the ownership of the entire unit itself, along with the benefit of a Licence to locate your lodge on the ground on which it stands, for the duration of the Licence period, within the overall development. In the case of Coast View, lodges are sold with the benefit of up to a 40 year Licence Agreement. All lodges are connected to all services and are fully furnished.
    • A lodge is not classified as a building, so it is therefore not possible to raise a traditional mortgage against it. However the team at Coast View will be able to put you in contact with various financial providers who specialise in funding for lodges. Subletting of your lodge is permitted, with a dedicated in-house team dealing with this on your behalf.
    • Each of the lodges are exempt from stamp duty and second-home stamp duty.
    • Each of the lodges are exempt from Council Tax.
    • EPC Exempt
