Hillfield enjoys an attractive, open and semi rural location on the edge of Cranleigh, with its excellent selection of local shops and services. A complete range of shopping, leisure and cultural amenities is to be found at Guildford, where there is also a main line station offering a fast and frequent service to London Waterloo.   • Directions: From London, take the A3 south to Guildford. Follow the one-way system in Guildford heading for the A281, signposted to Horsham and Cranleigh. On reaching the village Shalford, turn left shortly after the railway bridge and follow the A248 through the villages of Wonersh and Shamley Green. On reaching a roundabout at Rowly, take the first exit, then first left into Smithwood Common Road. Continue, passing through the common, up a hill and then down the other side before turning left into Amlets Lane. Proceed for approximately 0.5 mile and the driveway to Hillfield will be found on the right. If you reach the gates for St Joseph's School, you have gone too far.
