Foxhole Vineyard offers a rare opportunity for a purchaser to enter the rapidly expanding English Wine industry and acquire a well established vineyard.
Foxhole Vineyard extends to a total of 29.71 acres (12.02 hectares) of which approximately 16.15 acres (6.5 hectares) has been planted to vines, approximately 7.4 acres (2.6 hectares) remains either unplanted and is down to grass and there is a wooded shaw that runs north to south through the land where there is a small stream along with a pond.
The land was planted down to vines in 2008/2009 and are now fully established. The majority of the vines are Pinot Noir with a smaller amount of Pinot Gris and Bacchus vines. In previous harvests the picked grapes have been utilised by a highly regarded local wine producer.
The majority of the farmland is situated on a gently undulating south facing hillside and the altitude varies between 25m and 31m above sea level It is surrounded by wooded shaws and hedgerows, which give an element of protection for the vines.
The vineyards are deer fenced, and there is one public footpath which runs along the northern edge of the land.
