About this property

  • The Meadows, situated in the coastal village of Holme-next-the-Sea, is a single storey dwelling providing spacious and light lateral living on a large plot. A much loved second home for the current owners, whom have modernised the house during their ownership, there is now an opportunity to enjoy the wonderfully presented property as it is, or to fulfil personal requirements and adapt/extend/develop given the scale of the plot enjoyed, particularly given the location and setting.

The house is perfect for a sociable coastal lifestyle, with a brilliant layout. To one side you have a substantial open plan living space, with the comfortable family room with wood burner open to the fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. Beyond the family room, through glazed doors, is the garden/dining room for atmospheric suppers and long lunches with triple aspect glazing and direct access out to the gardens. There is a functional utility room for hosing down children and drying wetsuits.

The bedrooms are conveniently congregated on the other side of the house, separated from the living space by the large entrance hall. There are three double bedrooms, including the principal bedroom with en suite shower room, a family bathroom and a fourth bedroom perfect for bunk beds.

The house is a successful holiday let.

    Outside
The house sits centrally within a generous village plot, with clearly established boundaries. To the front of the house, a wooden five bar gate opens to a large gravelled parking and turning area for many cars, adjoining the house and a single garage. Beside the parking area is an expanse of lawn, which sweeps round the south of the house to the back where it opens up to a wide open space to enjoy, with a wonderful flowering cherry providing seasonal colour, and a newly planted hedge along the rear boundary. A paved terrace at the back of house is ideal for outside entertaining, relaxing and dining particularly as the gardens are not overlooked despite the village location.

The entire gardens are enclosed by fencing, giving peace of mind to allow children, friends or animals to roam freely.
