    About this property

    • Dating back to 1750, Chateau du Prélong is a unique property standing in grounds of over two hectares. The current owners have meticulously restored this historical home to a high standard of internal specification whilst retaining the traditional charm.

The house is very spacious with a habitable area of 770 m2. There are seven bedrooms in total, five luxurious suites all with their own bathrooms, including a 113 m2 master suite. The two additional bedrooms are currently setup as guest / children's rooms, however both are spacious and have en-suite shower rooms.

At the centre of the house is a magnificent galleried hallway with high ceilings and fabulous woodwork. This room serves as an impressive entrance and also an additional living room, with sofas and a coffee table around a large wood-burning fireplace. Additional living accommodation includes the main drawing room, games room with full size snooker table, second games room, formal dining room and an exquisite library in the top floor of the house, which is a converted attic. There are two fully-equipped modern kitchens, both carefully designed with high quality appliances.

Set behind electric gates the property is exceptionally private. Within the grounds there is a 20-metre outdoor swimming pool with a large terrace and two hectares of garden and woodland which has been well-looked after. There is external parking for at least eight cars and a timber barn for some vehicles and additional storage.

In recent years Chateau du Prelong has been used principally as a family holiday home, however more recently has been successfully rented out for holiday lets. The property would also work very well as a venue for weddings or similar events.
