A charming period cottage in a highly regarded North Cotswold village.

About this property

  • Spring Cottage is a charming cottage that has been lovingly refurbished and is situated in a peaceful location in the heart of the village. Formerly a stable for livestock, the cottage has been extended over time and perfectly combines modern interiors with period features. Two steps lead up from the village lane to a stable door which opens into the kitchen/dining room with wooden floor, painted beams and space for a table and chairs. The charming sitting room has a bay window which overlooks the lane and a raised stone hearth with wood burning stove.

There is a single bedroom on the ground floor with access to the garden terrace and an en suite shower room. Stairs lead from the kitchen/dining room to a triple aspect double bedroom with well-equipped en suite shower room, bedroom three and the family bathroom. French doors open from the sitting room into a pretty enclosed garden which is ideal for relaxation and al fresco dining. There is a paved terrace which is bordered by a tall hedge and a flower-filled stone rockery. From here stone steps lead up to a lawn which gently slopes upwards towards a spot for enjoying picturesque views over the village. There is off-street parking for two medium sized cars on the driveway.

Blockley is one of my favourite villages and this cottage is a winner.
