About this property

  • The Lodge is an attractive stone built cottage situated on the edge of this particularly picturesque village, afforded some stunning views of the surrounding countryside, some of the finest in the area.

Believed to date from the late 1800's, built from mellow sandstone blocks, under a pantile roof, the property offers cosy but well proportioned accommodation over two floors. The windows have been replaced for UPVC replicas of the originals and the central heating updated, but the majority of the rooms require a degree of modernisation.

There are two flexible reception rooms and a kitchen on the ground floor and three bedrooms, a bathroom and separate WC on the first floor, all with plenty of natural light and views of the surrounding garden and stunning countryside beyond.

There is a generous lawned garden surrounding the house, bordered by mature hedgerows and a post and rail fence to the north east. A driveway leads from the lane, along the southern boundary to a separate stone built barn/garage with timber store to one side.
