A charming house in a superb semi-rural location off a private road.
Woodvale is a charming dormer style property with a clay tiled hipped roof beneath rendered elevations. It stands in extensive gardens and grounds with a sweeping drive leading to a parking and turning area at the front of the house with a drift way offering access to a large detached garage and workshop at the rear.
The property has belonged to the same family since it was constructed and has an impressive feel of solidity and well-proportioned rooms. Whilst updating is required it has potential to once again be a wonderful family home.
The panelled front door opens into a generous hall with a tiled floor and stairs to the first floor. It serves the three main reception spaces, being a sitting room, dining room and study and the family kitchen which is in part formed from a later extension.
Off the kitchen is a large playroom, formerly an integral garage, and a pantry and the back door provides access to the utility room.
On the first floor is a principal bedroom with an en suite shower room, a separate wc and walk in wardrobe. There are three further bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is en suite.
Outside, gardens frame the house with lawns, a variety of mature shrubs and plants and impressive mature trees. It is a most delightful setting.
The garage block provides useful storage but also offers excellent potential for uses ancillary to the house.
Total area: about 1.43 acres.

I love the setting of Woodvale and the potential options for improving the accommodation are very exciting. The grounds are excellent and the quiet lane makes for a very peaceful existence, yet hugely convenient being so close to local facilities and the roads towards Manchester and Chester.
