About this property

  • Carrier Cottage is a superb Cotswold stone cottage which is nestled just off a charming road in the picturesque village of Chedworth. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated to blend traditional cottage charm with modern comforts. The cottage extends to over 1858 sq ft and is well-presented over two floors with perfectly flowing accommodation creating a lovely spacious home.

As you enter through a traditional stone porch, you are presented with an inviting sitting room, which retains the fantastic original wooden beams and comprises dual aspect windows with patio doors allowing light to flood this space. Continuing you are drawn to the open-plan kitchen/dining room which is great for everyday living and has been renovated to create a space which is the beating heart of the cottage.

The kitchen is perfectly formed with bespoke fitted cabinets with ample storage and integrated appliances, along with a large island for those cooking enthusiasts. The modernised section of this room allows direct access to a sun-drenched patio boasting amazing rural views which Chedworth is famous for and can be appreciated even further from the raised patio area which overlooks your mature garden. Off the kitchen, there is a utility room with lots of additional storage and access to the rear garden, ideal for those with children or pets. Tucked just off the kitchen is a snug room which would double up as an office space for those that work from home. Finally, there is a guest WC in the utility room.

As you ascend the first floor, straight ahead is the large principal bedroom with good ceiling height and has a beautiful ensuite shower room. There are a further two well-portioned double bedrooms on this floor which are serviced by the family shower room.

Externally, the cottage benefits from a large, landscaped garden, with manicured lawns, well-kept borders and a central pond. There is gravelled driveway parking at the front of the property. With its idyllic setting, spacious interior and beautiful garden surroundings, this cottage offers a perfect property to enjoy a peaceful countryside lifestyle while being located in Chedworth with a great sense of community, and only 10 miles away from the thriving market town of Cirencester.
