OUTSTANDING UNIQUE NATURE AND SOCIAL RESTORATION OPPORTUNITY ON BRITAIN'S LARGEST UNINHABITED ISLAND
The Vision - The purchase of Taransay in June 2011 brought with it a long-term, multi-faceted ecological and historical restoration opportunity, a journey that Adam and Cathra Kelliher have embarked on with an intention of leaving a light carbon footprint on the island whilst restoring its biodiversity and social history.
"As stewards of Taransay, we wish to restore the island's biodiversity and prove that ecological regeneration can be beneficial and relevant to local communities."
The Partnership - The Kellihers are seeking a partner to embark on the next stage. Such a multi-faceted project in a unique and challenging environment presents a chance to make a real difference to the environment as well as this remote community. The opportunity would suit a visionary partner who is excited by the potential to develop a genuinely unique nature restoration project on Britain's largest uninhabited island, whilst reviving and highlighting social and cultural heritage.
All forms of a partnership will be considered and assessed based on the motivation of interested parties and their proposed objectives.
