Embden House was built in the 1880s as the Dower House for neighbouring Newton Castle. It is a handsome and architecturally important property. Built during the Arts and Crafts movement, its irregular gables, asymmetric windows, mock half timbering and leaded windows all reflect the height of style at the time. Over the years, the original features of Embden have been carefully looked after and remain largely intact giving the house a wonderful sense of history and grandeur.

Stone pillars frame the entrance to Embden House and open to an expanse of block paving where there is plenty of space to park and turn.
