THE HOTEL
Castle of Comfort is a charming and characterful Grade II Listed country Hotel and Restaurant, dating from the 16th Century, set in idyllic surroundings at the foot of the Quantock Hills. Prior to its closure in November 2024, the business had established itself as a popular Hotel and Restaurant among walkers and cyclists exploring the fabulous surrounding countryside and coast. The hotel is well positioned to benefit from both leisure and business guests, providing year round trade. The Hotel comprises 9 individually designed en-suite bedrooms, bar lounge, 24 cover Restaurant, circa 4 acres of gardens and grounds as well as a heated outdoor swimming pool.

BEDROOMS
The hotel comprises 9 individually designed en-suite bedrooms. The hotel has two suites: The Mariner Suite which is beautifully proportioned with king sized, four poster bed and private access to the garden. The Italian Suite is located in the oldest part of the building and has a private seating area.
OWNERS' ACCOMMODATION
On site, there is also a 3-bedroom owners’ cottage with a spacious kitchen, lounge, bathroom and an attic office. One of the bedrooms is en-suite, and there is a family bathroom on the ground floor. To the rear of the cottage there is a private patio.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
The restaurant can accommodate up to 24 covers and is open to both residents and non-residents alike. In addition, there is a bar lounge which is popular for afternoon teas. Externally, the garden offers al fresco dining.
The Castle of Comfort occupies a prominent position on the A39 with good levels of passing trade. There is opportunity for an incoming purchaser to seek to attract more non-resident trade, should they wish to.
AMENITIES AND EXTERNAL AREAS
Externally, to the rear of the hotel is a fantastic outdoor heated swimming pool, set in the hotel’s garden, which is available during the warmer months of the year.
